UCM is supported by the United Church of Christ, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the Church of the Brethren through the Illinois United Ministries in Higher Education. We are supported by the Presbyterian Church USA through the Synod of Lincoln Trails.

Locally we are supported by First Presbyterian Church in Cobden, Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship, Church of the Good Shepherd in Carbondale, First Christian Church in Carbondale, First Presbyterian Church in Carbondale, as well as other organizations and individuals.

UCM is affiliated with the Center for Progressive Christianity, Spiritual Youth for Reproductive Freedom, and the Open and Affirming programs of the United Church of Christ and the Disciples of Christ.
